We strive to provide the best playing conditions we can while also providing a nurturing and supportive environment that allows our members to achieve whether they are playing at the highest levels of the sport or volunteering at one of our numerous functions.

What do I need to do!

Go to the Roy Blair Bonspiel Sign-Up form and fill in all the requested details
(your name, contact info, position preference, night preference, dietary restrictions...)
Pay the entry fee of $30 (includes your games and dinner)

Historic Information
Curl with a celebrity skip and enjoy the chance of participating in a Calcutta in mid-April.
In the Roy Blair, participants declare what position they would like to play.
Then a draft night is held where players are called up by positions (leads go first) and choose which skip they wish to play for.
A next two days after the draft night each team plays in a number of truncated games in a "points" bonspiel format. The winning rink is the one that accumulates the most points after the Blair is done.

Roy Blair represented the spirit of the Ottawa in that he was a great curler but also wanted everyone, no matter what their skill level, to participate.
His life ended early in a tragic drowning accident in 1977.

Early Registration opens for all returning Members in early June. Regular registration is ongoing after the Early Registration deadline.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a new member. New Members are accepted after June 15. Here's what you need to know and do.

Complete our online information form accessible in the last instruction below.
You will be sent a verification e-mail to the address you provided. Please click on the verification link so that you are sent newsletters as well as to login for Member only news.
You will receive an e-mail shortly thereafter with simple instructions that will allow you to log into the Ottawa Curling Club website.
Login to our website, then click on the menu item for Member's Home --> League Registration and the registration link will be available. We look forward to having you join our club.

Sparing or Finding a Spare

To Find a Spare

From the MEMBER'S HOME menu at the top of the page, below LEAGUE, find and select Find A Spare, then select the league you require a spare for. The list of available spares will be shown with contact information, and there is also an option to email potential spares immediately from the website.

Sparing Availability

Login to update when you are available to spare. Your sparing availability is reset each May. You may add your name to a league list once you have registered as a Member.

From the MEMBER'S HOME menu at the top of the page, under MY INFORMATION, select My Sparing Availability. Here you can select which leagues you are able to spare in and list the positions you wish to play.

If you are looking for a new team, you may update the Free Agent Listing at any time you are logged in.
